August Nimtz

August Nimtz is Professor in the Political Science department at University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, Minneapolis. He is a leading thinker on socialist strategy, race in the United States and politics in Africa. His books include a two volume history of Lenin’s electoral strategy (2014), Marx, Tocqueville, and Race in America: The ‘Absolute Democracy’ or ‘Defiled Republic’ (2003), Marx and Engels: Their Contribution to the Democratic Breakthrough (2000), and Islam and Politics in East Africa: the Sufi Order in Tanzania (1980).
